Satoshi 6pc Knife Set - Black Forging with Ebony Wood Handle

This is the classic Japanese style 6pc set. These 6 pieces will handle every task in the kitchen. With raw authentic styling and traditional Black forging steel you are sure to be in good company in your kitchen. This set suits the amateur to mid level cook as the blades are razor sharp but also lightweight and sturdy. The handle is the traditional octagonal shape so will suit left or right handed cooks. The ebony wood handle is also treated with a rosewood oil in order to keep its ingegrity.

This steel is of extremely high quality with a rating of 60+/-2 HRC which can withstand nearly all kitchen tasks while easily sharpened using a whetstone 1000/6000 or other approved methods.

This set includes the following knives:

1. Chef Knife - 200mm blade or just under 8 inch.

2. Nakiri (Cleaver) - 170mm blade or just under 7 inch.

3. Kiritsuki - 180mm blade or just over 7 inch.

4. Gyutu Knife - 210mm blade or just over 8 inch.

5. Santuko (All round Knife) - 170mm blade or just under 7 inch.

6. Petty (smaller knife, smaller tasks) - 150mm blade or just over 5 inch.

The set comes beautifully packaged in a white oak outer box and a red suede finish inside. There is a certificate of authenticity that the blade was forged under a Satoshi prefect master knife craftsman who seals each box before delivery. The blades will be razer sharp out of the box but will need to be lightly oiled from time to time.

Like all of our knives they are handmade and not dishwasher friendly. The razer sharp edges can be damaged by the salts that are used in dishwashers. The wooden handles can also be damaged from the detergent and salty water. Please take care of your knives using the traditional methods we outline on our how to care for your Satoshi section of our website.

We look forward to hearing from you about your new knives. Please read through our knowledge pages to learn how to get lifetime longevity out of your new knives.
